Snoring comes from soft tissue vibrating at the back of your throat. As you fall asleep, that tissue relaxes, the jaw slides back a little and the airway narrows: air forces its way through, the tissue vibrates, and the noise starts.

The mouthpiece holds your lower jaw very slightly forward overnight. The airway stays open, air moves freely, and there's nothing left to vibrate. It works on the cause, not the symptom.

Our advice: start at the smallest setting, then move up one step every two or three nights until the snoring stops. Rushing it is the surest way to wake up with a tight jaw. The right setting is the smallest one that works, not the biggest.

Yes. Once moulded to your teeth, the mouthpiece is held by your teeth themselves, not by the position of your head. On your back, your side or your stomach, it stays put — including if you move around a lot at night.
